What is Matcha from the first flush of leaves?

First flush means that it is the first harvest of the year and it always happens during spring, after the long winter. The second flush is the second harvest and it normally happens during summer. So, what makes first flush tea so special?

First Flush Tea has much more nutrients and better taste. The last harvest ends during autumn season and all of the L-Theanine that has been developed over a period of months is stored inside the tea leaves.

This results in a Matcha that has higher level of nutrients and sweetness than second flush teas.
